SCREEN HEROES.

The P1800 is one of the most un-Volvo looking Volvo's of all times. Designed by Swedish yacht designer Pelle Petterson at Frua's atelier in Italy and launched in 1961, the coupé had an handsome and understated 50's flair to it. They even made a surprisingly cool shooting brake out of it that's currently one of the most coveted classic Volvo models.

It was also Simon Templar's car in the hit 60's TV show The Saint, a modern-day Robin Hood who always had more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Co-starring with Roger Moore, the P1800 featured heavily in most episodes, which did absolutely no harm to sales, and in interviews in later years Moore would confess that the Volvo coupé was the favorite screen car of his career.

We can't get over the fact that it's also the current holder of the Guiness World Record for most distance travelled by a single private owner - Irv Gordon, an american science teacher - clocking in at 5.15 million kilometers (3.2 million miles), enough to circle the globe 127 times… and all this with the original engine and gearbox!
